    Just before you explained your background color, i was going Why did you paint your background dark orange ? exactly a few seconds later, you explained :) i guess that idea is natural because you’re talking about how colors change depending on the color next to it. ( doesn’t really show here.) 🪼🦀. 🪼🪲. 🪼🦢. 🪼🐝

    I heard of that often, but I like some of the blacks, for background, but to lighten , or shadows , a darker of that color, OH then I have been doing it Right , Never had to be told WHY "NOT" use black To get the greens I will add Black/mixture to use for back ground green leaves. LEMONS when not Real ripe, look a bit green or when they start to mold, look greenish and gray. Do you talk about HUE COLOR

    Why would her back take up half of the shot when over the shoulder? Try increasing the height and moving over, maybe for product demos try to never cover 1:3 of the product as a rule. Just better viewing that way, cool sweater tho

    So Titanium White is stronger of the Whites, but how do I know when is to used to mixing or get him brighter, on a Oil painting.

    • @JerrysArtarama
      @JerrysArtarama 9 годин тому

      Great question! Titanium White is known for its strong opacity and high tinting strength, making it an excellent choice for mixing and achieving brighter areas in your oil paintings. Here's when and how to use it: 1. Mixing Colors: Use Titanium White to lighten other colors while maintaining their opacity. Because of its high tinting strength, you only need a small amount to achieve a noticeable change. 2. Highlights: For the brightest highlights, Titanium White is ideal due to its pure white color and opacity. It can be used to create striking contrasts and enhance the three-dimensionality of your painting. 3. Underpainting: You can use Titanium White in your underpainting to establish strong highlights and values that will shine through subsequent layers. * Avoid Overuse: Be mindful of the amount you use, as overuse can lead to a chalky appearance and reduce the vibrancy of your colors. Thanks for asking! We're always happy to help!

    What about French white it had a blue tone and I always use that a lot. Sorry I’m 70 and I’m trying to study all of your new paint types compared to what I used back when I was starting at eight years old.

      Thank you so much for your interest and dedication to studying new paint types! We understand how important it is to find the right shades that work for you. While we don't currently have a blue-toned white like French white in our line, we hope you'll find our other whites versatile and inspiring for your work. If you have any questions or need recommendations, feel free to ask!

    Lucas water mixable oils have dried tacky on canvas board. Also come across when you add any water mixable mediums to the paint, you cant clean your brushes with water, you have to use solvent.

    I use whatever I find on the block. People put out real good things if you are lucky and looking things like a whole tin of pastel crayons and water crayon oils chalks all types in a big tin and then rolls of brown packing paper. so the problem is really making art again. I used to paint (color)something. of whatever medium pigments I had.

    What I like about acrylics is that they dry quickly, but still have enough time to work them. If you're looking to carry the canvas home without getting paint all over everything they are great and of course they clean up with water. I like the water mixable because they do give you more time to work with them, but they take ( in my opinion) too long to dry. I just bought some fast dry medium for the WMO so we'll see how that turns out.

    I had a small, round-tipped pair of scissors taken away. I had empty small spray bottles. Traveled with water soluble colored pencils. Don't try to carry exacto knives, razor blades. Watch travel hack videos. Check bag if concerned. I didn't have a problem with brushes, they were short. Or, take water-fillable brushes.

    I only paint landscapes, and am a relative beginner. I use sap green, red oxide (or red ochre), paynes grey, ultramarine blue. lemon yellow and titanium white. Occasionally I will use King's Blue (hard to get, expensive, but worth it!). Since I have troublesome dogs, I stay away from anything toxic (cadmium) as much as possible. I don't use thinners. The only oil I use is purified linseed oil. Non-toxic and almost no smell. Brushes clean up with dish soap and water. For brushes, I use chip brushes from the hardware store. I also have a rigger and fan brush. This works well for the style of painting I do. None of what I use is expensive. The brushes are all either natural bristle or a mix. I do, from time to time, use light green, permanent orange and vermilion, but generally use those for change of pace, and sometimes mix them with the other colours I mainly use. It's surprising what you can do with just the sap green, red oxide, paynes grey, and titanium white!
